We now challenge one of you to take a stunning photograph of the scene for the museum!
Jonathan Griffin tells us: “Last week, we were in Church Street, Coleford, with the Wesleyan Chapel on the left and the Old Post Office on the right.
“The photo appears on page 66 of Coleford as ’twere, published by Coleford Oral History Group, and was taken by William Marchant ‘Bill’ Jones, a man of many talents, who as well as being a prolific local photographer, was also a businessman, author of the Jarge Balsh series of books, musician and village benefactor. A very interesting character!”
If you think you know where this week’s ‘Then’ photograph may have been taken, email: [email protected] or send your answer to us via Facebook: @MNRJournal.
