Harmonie-Rose Allen is helping to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis on World Meningitis Day (24th April).
The four-year-old from Bath contracted meningitis when she was ten months old, and sadly lost all four limbs to the disease.
However, she hasn’t let her tough start in life dampen her spirit, as she confidently stars in Meningitis Now’s new awareness video. Harmonie-Rose can be seen introducing herself and listing the signs and symptoms of meningitis, before stardom gets too much and she needs to have a little lie down! Brimming with confidence, Harmonie shines in front of the camera and is clearly in control of and loving every moment.
The video aims to inform everyone of the signs and symptoms of meningitis, whilst also reminding people of Harmonie’s story. With her spirit and determination, and, backed by public fundraising, the little girl is now getting the best help possible. The little star of the video shows that meningitis can be beaten, and, despite living with the after-effects of the disease, a fun and fulfilling life can be had.
On World Meningitis Day, why not watch the new video, listen and learn from Harmonie-Rose, and take a positive step towards protecting your loved ones from this indiscriminate disease.
