Following their Annual Winter Exhibition, held on Saturday, 23rd November, Chilcompton Art Club were this week able to present Dorothy House Hospice with donations from the day.
£250 was raised by contributions at the door, a raffle and refreshments. The event was well supported by many visitors from Chilcompton and surrounding areas.
John Sibley, from Chilcompton Art Club, said: “We received many comments on the day for our wide variety of subjects and the skills of the various artists, as well as the food!
“This cheque is also accompanied by a donation from Poppies of Paulton, and finally the commission of a dog portrait by one of the members. We would like to thank everyone who contributed in any and every way.
“We are a very mixed group of artists with many varying talents, and we welcome members of all ages, and abilities.”
The club meets in St John’s Church Hall, Chilcompton, each Wednesday and Friday morning between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. John D Sibley
