Next Saturday, 6th October, local residents Mica, Kate, Jordan, Connor, Danielle, Nathen, Grace, Karen and Megan are all taking part in a memory walk for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Kate said: “We are making the walk of approximately 19.3 miles from The Palladium Electric, Midsomer Norton, to Westbury White Horse to raise money and awareness for this fantastic charity.

“The charity works endlessly to help support people affected with this disease, and also those family members who need that extra bit of help and support. We decided to fundraise for this charity as it has a very personal meaning for us, as our Grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.”

“Our great-aunt also suffered with this disease, so it will also be in memory of her, and all those who have lost loved ones. We would just like to raise a bit of money so this charity can continue with their amazing work. My Nan has also decided to join, and to help she is holding a jumble sale on Saturday, 29th September at Kilmersdon Village Hall.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to the new Palladium Electric in Midsomer Norton for giving us all a free breakfast and drink before we head off to Westbury!”
