Local ex-miners once again had the opportunity to catch up over a lunch provided by the Radstock Co-operative Society and served by local volunteers at Radstock Museum on Monday this week.

Glastonbury Festival Founder and President of the Somerset and District Miners’ Welfare Trust, Michael Eavis, joined fellow miners for lunch, swapping stories with those who had once worked in local collieries such as Kilmersdon, Writhlington and colleagues at New Rock, Chilcompton, where he once worked.
