Saturday 13th November saw Beavers, Cubs and Scouts meet in Paulton Cemetery to ‘Dress the Graves’ of five military personnel identified by The War Graves Commission.

During the organisation of this event, a request for any relatives of the five named brought a reply from Mrs Valerie Bridgeman whose father was CSM R W Tavener – Devonshire Regiment. Mrs Bridgeman was delighted to be asked to attend the short service and lay a poppy posy at her father’s grave. The photo shows Mrs Bridgeman

accompanied by two young members of the Scouting movement, a Beaver and Cub Scout.

A really big thank you to all who took part and well done to all the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who played their part so magnificently. Anne Lyons
