As we move forward to the month of March, there are more interesting and varied walks to look forward to with the Somer Valley Ramblers.

On Wednesday, 2nd March there will be a 6.6 mile circular walk along a section of the Samaritan Way South West, starting from the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Meeting point: 9.15 am High Street car park, Paulton, BS39 7NW (please be prepared to wear a mask if car sharing). Start point: 10 am at Long Ashton Park and Ride, off A370, Bristol, BS41 9LX – bring your bus pass if you have one. Walk Leader: Tessa 01761 470453 (on the day: 07811 008567)

Sunday, 13th March will see an 8 mile circular walk from Newbridge, Bath, out towards Corston, tracking along the River Avon footpath. Starting point: 10am at Newbridge Park & Ride, Bath, BA1 3NB, Walk Leader: Tony R: 07561 371166.

On Wednesday, 16th March we will be doing a

5 mile circular walk continuing on another section of the Samaritan Way South West, up and over the hill. Meeting point: 9.25 am High Street car park, Paulton, BS39 7NW (please be prepared to wear a mask if car sharing). Starting Point: 10 am by the Village Post Office, Chew Magna, BS40 8SL. If there are no spaces in the village car park, be aware of the street parking restriction by the shops. From here we catch the 10.10 am bus to our start point at Yanley. Monday, 21st March will be a 7 mile circular walk, 10 am start – Walk Leader David G. Details to be finalised, please see website in due course.

Sunday, 27th March is a 6 mile circular walk around the countryside of Cameley. Starting point: Cameley Lodge car park, Cameley, BS39 5AH. Walk Leaders: Carol and Kirsteen: 01761 413413 / 01761 419384.

Wednesday, 30th March will be a 5.7 mile circular walk through the woods and countryside around Cranmore. Meeting point: 9.25 am High Street car park, Paulton, BS39 7NW (please be prepared to wear a mask if car sharing). Starting Point: 10 am Cranmore Tower car park, Old Wells Road, South of Stoke St Michael. BA4 4LF. Walk Leader: Peter G: 07974 925484.
