Mardons have planned a couple of great events for the Bank Holiday weekend – one for the adults to have some fun and one for the kids to enjoy with their family.
The Mardons Summer party returns with a bang this year, in the form of an '80s Party and 90s Rave' themed fancy dress night on Saturday, 27th August.
The club will be going retro and celebrating with the stunning 'Fantastique' (live from 9pm).
Earlier in the year, the incredibly talented Jordan Evans, on vocals and guitar, and highly skilled Matt Griffiths, on keys and programming, made quite an impact with their electro-pop performance and 80s and 90s tribute.
Hailing from sunny Weston-super-Mare, Fantastique are well-known for their fun, lively, crowd pleasing performances. Covering Classic Synth, Electro, New Romantic and Dance Music, they present a crazy mix of hits that will have you dancing and singing along to some of the biggest tunes of the decades – some you may not have heard in a while!
The set list is impressive, everything from OMD, Pet Shop Boys, Yazoo, Howard Jones and ABC through to Technotronic, N-Trance, Adamski, Snap and even 2 Unlimited!
There will be a BBQ serving up some tasty treats, a pop-up cocktails and shots bar, a free raffle when you purchase a drink between 7-9pm, and of course prizes for the best fancy dress – wear anything from the 80s or 90s, TV, film or pop culture, think big hair, neon colours and shoulder pads or grab some glow sticks and be rave ready – just have fun!
It's all about the kids and spending time with the family on Sunday, 28th August, when Glen Davis, of Rocky's Magic Parties, will arrive at Mardons to entertain. With balloons, music and fun, it will be an afternoon of pandemonium, starting at 2pm – let him wear the kids out.
Parents/guardians must remain on the premises throughout, but don't worry, the bar will be open.
Entry to both events is free to all and, as always, non members and new faces are very welcome.
