Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club is holding its annual gathering of pre-year 2000 classic vehicles on Sunday, 12th August at Camerton Village Hall and Recreation Ground. The event runs between 10 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. and has attracted six hundred exhibits in recent years.

We are pleased to announce that Somer Valley FM will be broadcasting from the event and, as well as the ‘classics’, there will be tea, coffee, soft drinks and cakes served in the Village Hall and a barbeque, together with stalls operated by charities, autojumble stalls, a specialist interior car restoration company; Radstock Museum will also be present.

A cash prize raffle will also be run during the day.

The whole event is run by volunteers from Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club, which has approximately 100 local members. For anyone owning or having an interest in classic cars, membership forms to join the club will be available on the day. Membership is available singly or as a couple.

The club also organises stands at Classic Car Shows at Shepton Mallet Showground three times a year, a ‘Cobweb’ run early in the year and mid-week runs. We also attend numerous local events such as Fayres and Fêtes and arrange our annual School Outing to various places of interest further afield.

This year’s outing is a coach to Maidenhead and on to Windsor by boat. After shopping time in Windsor, we return to Maidenhead, where our coach will be waiting to bring us back to Radstock.

Our Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 8 p.m. in Radstock Working Men’s Club, where we organise guest speakers when available, and in December, we hold our annual Christmas dinner and prizegiving.
