We would like to thank all our volunteers; this week and every week, for gifting their time to people in need.

Our volunteer drivers provide transport to isolated people in our community, ensuring safe journeys to medical appointments, clubs and activities, hairdressers, shopping and to meet friends and family.

This service provides a lifeline to many and has a direct impact on isolation in our community.

SWAN Transport have a lot of happy customers, who rely on the charity for getting around: “I couldn’t manage without SWAN drivers; I couldn’t get to my appointments, and I wouldn’t see a soul”.

“The drivers are so kind and patient, I never feel rushed, they take time to ask how you are, they really care.”

We would also like to thank all the volunteers who help plan and host our fortnightly ‘Cuppa and Chat’ social events, ensuring a friendly welcome to people who come along.

We now have some younger volunteers who are attending our gatherings and bringing new energy, ideas and conversations.

“I love having the young people around, it’s great to share stories, they are brilliant for giving up their time”.

“I feel I belong; SWAN is like my family”.

We are always seeking new volunteer drivers, it’s a rewarding and flexible role with hours to suit. We pay mileage costs for every journey.
