Three is the magic number for The Scratch Orchestra – a local community music project, which returns to Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Saturday, 13th August, for its third annual charitable concert, this time to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
Local musicians of all ages and abilities will come together at 9 a.m. to rehearse a range of music before performing a special live concert in the evening. The varied programme will include music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who amongst several others.
“Having conducted the mixed orchestra for the last two years, I am thoroughly excited about meeting with them again this August to take on even more challenging pieces,” said Michael Spence, from Midsomer Norton, who is a music teacher at The Latymer School in Enfield. “The project is a great way for musicians to network, have fun and play some great tunes! Audiences always enjoy the evening concert, so come along and join the fun raising money for a great cause!"
If you would like to attend the concert and support the cause, the Scratch orchestra will kick off their concert at 6 p.m.,with tickets available on the door. Musicians interested in
