Last week’s Mystery Photograph, kindly supplied by Shirley Steel, shows the entrance to Somervale in Midsomer Norton, St Chad’s.  Can you guess this week's?

Well done to the following for guessing correctly; Paul Hancock, T. Jukes, Richard Edwards, Jeff Parsons, Kay Harvey, Simon Chard,  Les Box and Hannah Selway, Dan Deverill, David Shearn, Dave Curtis, Paul Kirkwood and Neil Gillard.

As well as supplying the photograph, Shirley told The Journal: “The picture shows the ‘town’ entrance to Somervale as it looked ninety years ago.

“Beneath the archway on the right you can see the railings over the river and on the left of the picture is the obelisk by the spring.

“At one time, half the villagers in Midsomer Norton collected their drinking water from here.”

Many thanks to Mike Chant for supplying this week’s Mystery Photograph.
