Local Author and illustrator of the well-known Fairy Wood Children’s books, has now had the third book in the series, The Amazing Fairy Wood released by his publishers, Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie.
All of the books are written around a magical woodland. The stories, for all young children, are about the topical events that occur in our woodlands, and this is no exception. They have been written and illustrated to encourage the imagination, with many strange witches, woodland animals and a wizard! They are ideal for younger children to have them read to them, and for older children to read for themselves.
Mike Gould, from Paulton, originally wrote the first story almost forty years ago for his own children. In the latter years, the story was turned into the first book, Magic in Fairy Wood, followed in February this year with Trouble in Fairy Wood. Not only are the books selling all over the world, but they are also owned by Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Mike tells The Journal that the fourth book has been written and illustrated, but not yet published, and the fifth book is currently being written. Sales are already doing very well, with stock of the second book selling out on the day of publication, but is now available again.
He said that many people agree that reading from a real book has many advantages over the digital versions, but having said that, you can still follow the series on Facebook under The Fairy Wood Books!
These very popular books are available from Amazon or any good bookshop.
