John cut a ribbon last Wednesday, 2nd June to welcome the community to come in and enjoy nutritious, affordable food and drink.

The SWALLOW Café at the Hive provides employment training for local people with learning disabilities, both in the kitchen and front of house. The café is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30 am – 3.30 pm, for eat in and take away.

John Cullum said: “This is a very exciting development for SWALLOW – we can offer new opportunities for our members to help them gain employment skills whilst at the same time give the local community a wonderful place to meet and enjoy tasty food and drink.

“We are very grateful for the support of the management team from the Hive for making this possible.”

John presented the café with a signed photo from his son, Jamie Cullum,

renowned jazz musician.
