65 Northmead Road, Midsomer Norton (BA3 2SH) is a new garden this year to the National Garden Scheme, opening on Sunday, 20th August and Thursday, 24th August from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Tucked down a long drive lies this mysterious hidden ¼ acre gardener’s haven. The garden’s colour-themed spaces are rich in eclectic and unusual perennials and foliage, as well as being home to a beautiful potager with a productive greenhouse, hens, fruit and gravel garden.

A pleached hornbeam tunnel leads to the pond, where wild corners peek into open countryside. Lush pots and climbers furnish the raised terrace alongside plentiful seating.

Unusual plants are for sale, as well as homemade refreshments. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on short leads. The garden is on a slight slope with grassed and gravelled areas. Parking for disabled is very limited at the garden.

After the Tesco/Wickes roundabout turn right, at the next smaller roundabout, towards Midsomer Norton into Northmead Road, then immediately past the pedestrian crossing turn sharp right into a narrow drive, between two properties. Other visitors please park nearby; the garden is 100 yards towards Midsomer Norton from the Tesco/Wickes roundabout via a footpath on the right which will be signed.
