Midsomer Norton Sixth Form formally opened their new state-of-the-art, £2.6 million Sixth Form centre at Norton Hill School on Tuesday, 8th July. It was opened by former Headteacher, Peter Beaven, to the delight of the Sixth Form students who attended.

The new Sixth Form centre offers students a brand new, 3,000 sq ft state-of-the-art space on the Norton Hill site. This large facility has dedicated rooms and study areas for Sixth Form only, as well as extensive IT facilities. Sixth Form students said they were amazed by the size of the new Sixth Form centre and the fantastic IT facilities. The Sixth Form Council said: "We're really lucky to have this bright and spacious area, a place we can all learn, socialise and take pride in."

Headteacher, Alun Williams, said: "I am delighted that this outstanding new facility will be available for our students. They deserve the best accommodation and this exciting new study and social area is what our expanding sixth form needs."
