Somer Valley Cycling Club (SVCC) is launching a new social ride for cyclists of all abilities that will meet at the Miner’s Wheel opposite Radstock Museum every Saturday at 10 a.m.

Led by an experienced club member, the inaugural ride takes place this Saturday, 9th April and will follow the same easy-paced route each week; a twenty-mile loop that takes in Mells, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Chilcompton and Midsomer Norton.

Friendly and inclusive, there will be a stop for coffee and cake during the ride. Any type of bicycle will be suitable and you need not wear Lycra or be a club member to come along.

Elaine Riddle, SVCC Club Secretary, commented: “This new ride is ideal for anyone new to cycling, or those returning after a break. It will be a great introduction to riding with others, or simply helping to build riders’ confidence on the road. No one will be left behind!”
