Three schools in the Radstock area, Academy of Trinity, St Mary's in Writhlington, and St Nicholas are finalising preparations for their joint event, the 'Radstock Razzmatazz'.
The event will be the first time that the three schools have come together to work towards a fun day for the community, which is being sponsored with a grant from Radstock Town Council and external funding.Sue Jones, Co-Head at St Mary's School, said: "It's a great opportunity to bring the people of Radstock together as a community."
Organisers are hoping that the community fun day, to be held on Saturday, 18th April, will include musical performances, a talent show, a bake-off, sports day races, such as egg and spoon, as well as stalls and special guests. There will also be events running throughout the day suitable for all ages and an art competition, which will be judged by Brenda Fisher, wife of the late local artist, David Fisher.
There will be a pre-Razzmatazz event on Tuesday, 14th April, from 3.30 p.m., at the Victoria Hall, which will give people the opportunity to get a taste of the events that will be taking place at the Razzmatazz.
