A range of local talent will celebrate the musical legacy of The Beatles at a Fab Four-themed Open Mic night this Sunday, 8th October, from 7 p.m. at Midsomer Norton Town Hall.

The enduring impact of the band can be clearly seen by the age range of those on offer, with popular young duo GUTS – who recently headlined the M-Fest acoustic stage and won the Rotary talent competition – confirmed to perform. Other acts already down to appear include the Cholmondley Warner brothers, Wellow Brook, Peas in the Pub, Ben Wilshire and The Fourmost Beatles.

The Beatles Open Mic Night is the closing event of the Midsomer Norton Community Trust’s ‘The Beatles Celebration’ weekend, which is being held to commemorate fifty years since the release of the band’s seminal album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The weekend also includes a career-spanning performance on the Saturday evening from tribute band All You Need Is The Beatles, and a screening of the classic film A Hard Day’s Night on the Sunday afternoon.
