Those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and those suffering as a result of many conflicts, will be remembered at Matins on Sunday, 12th November.

The event will take place in the ancient church of St Mary the Virgin, Orchardleigh, with the service starting at 10.55 a.m. so the Act of Remembrance will fall at 11 a.m.

The church dates back to the 14th century, and sits on a moated island adjacent to the lake on the Orchardleigh estate. Due to its location, the church has no electricity – all services are illuminated by candlelight and the organ is pumped by hand!
