After an ‘actors rest’ period, PADS have re energised with big plans for 2016/17.
To kick off the re-grouping, they will be putting on a comedy classic in aid of three Paulton community groups, the PTA at Paulton Infant and Junior schools, The Paulton Brownies and Cubs Groups and Paulton Hospital shop. They aim to raise large amounts of money for these worthy causes in the village.
PADS can announce that they will be performing over three nights, with an extra dress rehearsal night of the comedy classic, Hi De Hi. The dates will be 16th,17th and 18th June at the Village Hall.
John Turner, the interim Chairman, said: “We are delighted to be bringing PADS back into the Paulton lime light! It is our vision to once again be at the heart of the village and the local community and we see PADS as great opportunity to bring the local communities together, hence our desire to raise funds from the shows, going towards our three chosen community organisations. Hi De Hi is a comedy classic that many of our residents will remember with fond memories. A classic brought to our TV screens by the genius writers, Croft and Perry who wrote the likes of Dad’s Army and Are you being Served. We are thrilled to be able to bring this to the stage and have had a lot of fun in rehearsals. We look forward to welcoming audiences with a few extras thrown in to entertain the crowds! From Nobbly Knee competitions to Gladys Pew’s love of the camp manager, Jeffrey Fairbrother, people will not leave disappointed!”
