2nd Paulton Cubs held their May Bank Holiday weekend camp at Cam Valley Sports Ground in Paulton. The theme this year was ‘Secret Agent Training’, during which the Cubs took part in a series of challenges.

Vertical Extreme brought their climbing wall on Friday evening to start things off. During the weekend, the young people made ‘secret agent’ t-shirts, wore identity passes and sunglasses most of the time and played ‘secret agent’ games such as ‘Protect the President’, ‘Codes’, ‘Security Surveys’, and watched the ‘Spy Kids’ films.

On Saturday afternoon, the Cubs hiked to Greyfield Woods and went to the waterfall. After tea, Jamie Woodland came with some members of his Black Belt Academy to do a Martial Arts taster session for the Cubs.

On Sunday morning, the camp came to an end with a new Cub being invested, and the presentation of ‘secret agent’ certificates to all the youngsters. Ten of the fourteen Cubs had never camped or been on a hike before, so it was a new experience for them.
