I have so much to write about in these columns and indeed I did have some ideas in mind before I sat down to compose this months article.
Sadly, I have had to rethink my words as the sad passing of one of our community on the Peasedown St John bypass has rather dominated our work this week.
I don’t believe that speeding was a factor in that particular incident but many of the community who spoke to myself and my colleagues (as we were on road closure duty) told us that too many cars are speeding on that particular stretch of the road!
Please will you continue to remind drivers to slow down in every area. The speed limit is designed to keep us safe. Please can I encourage you to modify your own driving habits; this will keep yourself and others safe.
Please will you stop harassing our community speedwatch volunteers who give up their time and effort to keep us all safe? Instead of shouting abuse at them, perhaps you could say thank you…because we all want to get home safely.
