Talented local artists were proudly displaying their work at the PEOPLE charity shop in Midsomer Norton last Saturday, 22nd June, as the shop's monthly Art Exhibition continues.

Nine local artists were involved in last week's show, which will continue to run on the last Saturday of the month. All types of entries are welcome – be it oils, pastels, watercolours, photographs or any other kind of medium. Organiser, Ty Emery, said: "The shop has a huge amount of exhibition space and so we decided to run a regular, community orientated event – we may even run themed exhibitions in future." The event was also supported by a pop-up café, which warmed-up visitors seeking shelter from the heavy rain with hot cups of tea and homemade cakes. PEOPLE have also been working with Sirona Health Care to provide music therapy in the shop's recording space, plus karaoke sessions with Fosse Way School and are also working alongside charity, 'Safe Collective'.
