The next meeting of the photography club at Peasedown St John will take place on Easter Monday, 28th March at the Red Post Public House, Bath Road, Peasedown St John.

Last time the group experimented with macro settings, with the chosen topic for this meeting being ’Macro and Water’.

Macro is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size.

“I did not know I had a macro setting on my camera,” says club member, Lesley Mansell. “It’s only a point and shoot, but I am learning so much more about what it can do from the other members.”

Everyone had great fun trying out the macro setting so, this time the club will be seeing the results.

The purpose of the group is to look at different photographic formats. Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of their work, either as prints or to be shown on the big screen.
