THIRTY year old plans to build four homes in the grounds of a vicarage in Midsomer Norton have been resurrected.

Wansdyke District Council refused planning permission for the proposed terrace of four homes in 1992. A year later, the decision was overturned on appeal by the planning inspectorate, granting planning permission — but that expired after three years.

The terrace of four homes would be built in the grounds of the Old Vicarage on North Street. The access to the homes would come off the drive to the existing house, with their gardens stretching back to the wall by Church Lane.

Now, 33 years later, the plans are back. An application for planning in principle has been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council.
