Plans have been revealed for a new housing development next to a Westfield care home.

The plans, which were submitted to the Council by Flower & Hayes and Della Valle Architects, would see the Aviemore site redeveloped into eight new houses with garages and parking spaces.

Aviemore directly neighbours the Whitehaven Nursing Home and is opposite the Westfield Co-operative.

The seven new houses will surround a shared courtyard and each will have a private garden, and there will be an eighth house adapted from the current residential Aviemore building.

Next to the Westfield Industrial Estate, the development would have prime access to businesses in the area, and there would be a new access road leading into the development.

Comments are open on the Bath & North East Somerset Council’s website now and will close on 31st August 2022.

As of yet, there have not been any comments submitted regarding the application, but letters have been sent out to residents of the area notifying them of the plans.
