Mells Daffodil Festival 2018 will be going ahead as planned today, but there is a yellow weather warning in place for heavy rain. Because of the condition of the fields, for health and safety reasons, cars will be banned from the event. This means that there will be no parking in the village for visitors.
There is only enough space to safely park cars that belong to traders and performers. There will be free buses from Frome and Radstock, which will be running all day. So we are advising people to come by bus, by bike or on foot - just not by car.
The festival was opened by world famous ballet dancer Carlos Acosta at 11am this morning.
