Police are asking the public to call the police if they see Martin Bowers who has gone missing.

The 20-year-old is a third-year student at the University of Bath and was last seen in the city around lunchtime on Saturday, 19th September.

Martin Bowers has links with Bath and Staffordshire but police believe he may be in the Bristol area.

Martin is described as approximately 5ft 10ins, of a large build and having ginger hair.

DS Hannah Marsh said: “The last confirmed sighting of Martin was at about noon on Saturday in the Marsden Road area of Bath.“Enquiries about his subsequent movements are continuing. We believe he may have travelled using public transport on Saturday, but are also keeping an open mind as to whether he has stayed in the Bath area.“We’d ask anyone who remembers seeing Martin, or spots him, to contact us. But we’d also directly appeal to Martin to get in touch with police and just let us know you are safe, should you see this appeal.”The statement from Alec’s parents reads: “Alec is attending the University of Bath to study International Relations and Politics and he was looking forward to moving from home to try something different, in a new environment. He’s worked very hard for two years to save the money to go.“He loves books and reading and is very sporty; he loves to play football. He is a very caring person and is much loved by his family and friends.“We are extremely worried and greatly appreciate all the help that can be given to locate Alec. I would encourage people to look out for Alec and call the police with any sightings or information that would help us to find him.” Alec is described as white, of slim build, around 5ft 6ins, with short blond curly hair. He also has a tattoo on his left tricep, just above his elbow, of a picture frame containing a tree-lined alleyway. There are Swedish words written within the frame and the tattoo is all in black ink.If you see Martin, please call 999 immediately and give the call-handler reference 5220215058.
