With around a week to go until the General Election, (depending on when you are reading this), voters are invited to come along and listen to a live hustings with the local candi- dates, which will be broadcast from the Town Hall in Midsomer Norton by Somer Valley FM, in partnership with The Journal.

The candidates of North East Somerset have been invited to participate in a debate in front of an audience in Midsomer Norton Town Hall, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., this Thursday, 5th December.

The evening will be broadcast live on Somer Valley FM and the debate chaired by Somer Valley’s Manager, Dom Chambers.

Everyone is welcome to come along to listen to this informative event, but those attending must be seated by 6.45 p.m. for the recording. Doors open from 6.15 p.m. and those wishing to come along are being urged to arrive early to secure a seat, which cannot be guaranteed.

The Journal and Somer Valley FM have been collecting your questions over the past week or so, and a select few will be chosen to pose to the candidates – Nick Coates (Lib-Dem), Mark Huband (Labour), Jacob Rees-Mogg (Conservative), and Fay Whitfield (Green Party). Shaun Hughes, the Independent candidate, is unable to attend.

As well as broadcasting live online and at 97.5FM, the conversation will be encouraged on social media as well via Somer Valley FM and The Journal.

Somer Valley FM are also carrying out interviews with each of the PPCs, which will be available to listen to online.
