This year’s Double Hills memorial event, which commemorates the lives of 23 military personnel who died when the glider they were travelling in crashed on its way to the battle for Arnhem, will take place this Sunday, 4th September.

Weather permitting, there will be a flypast of historic aircraft and a poppy drop over the site. The march from Tennis Court Road to the Memorial starts at 2 p.m., with the parade meeting at the Recreation Field at 1.45 p.m. This is the 72nd Anniversary of the glider crash, with the memorial built on site in 1979. All are welcome to this event.
