Members of Norton Radstock Ladies Circle gathered to present a cheque for £1,150, raised through fund-raising activities in the last year.
The chosen charity was the Peggy Dodd Centre, which provides support for older people from Bath and surrounding areas with Alzheimer's and other dementia illnesses and their carers.
Last year's Chairman, Julia Ball, presented the cheque to Jean Perkins from the Peggy Dodd Centre.
During the evening, outgoing Honorary President, Jayne Hutton, handed over to Sadie Robinson, the new President for 2012/13. Katie Watson, a new member to the group, was inducted and warmly welcomed.
The event was held at the Moody Goose in Midsomer Norton. Celebrations started with a glass of Pimms, followed by a meal.
This year's Chairman, Emma Conneely, said, "We have had a fantastic evening and are looking forward to this year's fund-raising activities and social events."
