On Thursday, 31st January and on Wednesday, 27th February, a quiz night will be held at the Old Down Inn, Emborough, starting at 7.30 p.m.
Please come along, its in aid of a charity called Hammer Out, which provides essential support for people and their families who have been diagnosed with brain tumours.
Becky Brooks and Sarah Clothier, colleagues at The Journal, will be taking up the thirteen-mile challenge of running the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, 3rd March.
The girls have been training since September and are stepping up their efforts in a bid to raise £1,000 for the Thornbury-based charity.
A team of four to six people is required, raffle prizes welcome and there will be refreshments at half-time.
