Radstock Town Council are excited to announce Radstock Winter Lantern Parade being produced in association with Lamplighter Arts CIC.

Radstock Town Council warmly welcome members of the public to join this fun free activity and help bring some warmth and light to the depths of winter. This year, the Town Council have announced that they will be celebrating the theme of ‘Brigid and the Bear’.

There will be two workshops that community members can join, where they will be assisted by professional lantern artists to create their own light. Workshops will be held at Radstock Youth Hub (BA3 3QG) on Saturday January 27th and Sunday January 28th between 10am and 4pm. Workshop sessions are completely free, there is no need to book, just turn up! Alternatively, you can collect a home lantern making kit from Radstock Community Hub and Library in the run up to the parade event.

Explaining further about the schedule of events, Radstock Town Council said: “On Friday, February 2nd, we will gather together with students from Trinity Church School at Radstock Community Hub and Library (BA3 3PR) at 4.30pm to make a short journey with our lanterns through the town centre.”

The parade will culminate in a special live performance for the attendees.
