For just the second time in seven years, Holy Trinity Church stepped in to host the Paulton Arnhem Remembrance Service, after wet weather forced the event indoors last Sunday, 3rd September.

Members of the armed forces, past and present, local dignatories, friends and relatives of those who died at Double Hills, gathered to remember the 23 soldiers who were en route to the Battle of Arnhem when their glider crashed on 17th September, 1944.

This was the 38th year of marking the tragedy, organised by Peter Yeates, who is looking for anyone who may be able to help keep this event running in the future, having just turned eighty. For more information or to offer help, please contact: 07521 372387.
