Drivers in and around Mendip will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 6am May 9 to 6am October 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Podimore lane closures/contraflow for Sparkford to Ilchester improvement scheme.
And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A36, from 7pm May 30 to midnight, June 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Woolverton multi-way traffic lights in place for Gigaclear works.
• A36, from 10am to 2pm on June 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Rode - Stop and Go boards for electrical works.
• A303, from midnight, June 12 to 11.59pm August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Podimore to Sparkford used as a diversion for Wessex Water closure of Steart Hill.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
