Drivers in and around North Somerset will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 7pm January 8 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 lane closures for resurfacing.
• M5, from 8pm January 12 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure closure for barrier repairs.
• M5, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20 closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via A370, A4 to M5, junction 18, (Clean Air Zone charge suspended on diversion route during closure times only).
• M5, from 9am to 4pm on January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to 20 hard shoulder closures for electrical works.
• M5, from 8pm January 18 to 6am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip road closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via M5, junction 22 and back.
• M5, from 9pm January 19 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20, lane closure for carriageway repairs.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
