Avon and Somerset Police Community Trust and South Gloucestershire Council’s Road Safety Team have provided funding for I am Roadsmart, Bristol, to offer drivers in the most vulnerable age groups the opportunity to become more skilful by taking the Advanced Driver Course - and receive a full refund of the £175 course fee when they pass the advanced driver test.

The refund offers are below:

· Subsidised by Avon and Somerset Police Community Trust for young drivers aged 17-24 and mature drivers aged 60 and over:

The refund is available to drivers within the above age ranges who are residents in the Avon and Somerset Police areas, or who work permanently in those areas, or who are undertaking full-time education in the areas.

· Subsidised by South Gloucestershire Council’s Road Safety Team for young drivers aged 17-29:

The refund is available to young drivers who are residents in the South Gloucestershire local authority areas, or who work permanently in those areas, or who are undertaking full-time education in the areas.

This advanced driver course is also available to drivers of any age who hold a full driving licence although the refund offer applies exclusively to the above age groups. The course will give even the most experienced drivers the additional road skills required to take the advanced driver test.
