The Ammerdown Centre was abuzz recently when Midsomer Norton and Radstock Rotarians invited over eighty guests to cream teas in its beautiful and sun-blessed grounds.

Community bus users and members of the Centre’s TLC Club were among the many who enjoyed Andrew Jolliffe’s tour of Ammerdown House.

They also gathered for a talk on the House and Gardens by Head Gardener, Richard Kitley, and listened to the duet melodies of flautist, Carole Jenner Timms, and pianist, Jacky Bevan, all of whom were thanked and presented with gifts by new Rotary President, Patricia Naish.

Rotarians and Inner Wheel members joined with the Ammerdown Centre’s helpful and welcoming staff to make sure plans, organised by Rotarian, Roger Meadows, ran smoothly and the event was summed up by several guests who commented that they could not have wished for a more enjoyable afternoon.
