On Saturday 28th May, playful community arts project, DNA arts present the second Round-about Radstock; a full day of free live music, food, entertainment and arts, music and dance workshops.
The community is invited to take a ‘staycation’ in Radstock over the Bank Holiday weekend and visit all the event has to offer.
A team of pop-up travel agents visited the town last weekend to tell the public about the event, which returns on Saturday. The brightly coloured travel agents visited Victoria Hall, The Co-operative and shops across the town offering well-deserved breaks and a creative Bank Holiday.
As part of the event, talented local young musicians will be performing a showcase concert in the Radstock Methodist Church Hall. With the theme of ‘Journeys’, there will be a wide variety of music, from Mozart and Beethoven, to Debussy and Rachmaninov, Stravinksy and Einaudi.
Musicians include singers, Victoria Wiltshire, who was the recent winner of the Rotary Club’s talent show and Jasmin Quennell, violinists, Katherine and Rachel Stonham,
clarinettist, Will Hambly and cellist, Kenan Broadway, both of whom will also play piano pieces.
Round-about Radstock takes place on Saturday, 28th May from 12 noon – 6 p.m. at St Nicholas Church field,
SWALLOW Café, Radstock Library, the Working Men’s Club, Trinity Methodist Church Hall and Leigh House Garden.
