Less than three in five A&E arrivals at Royal United Hospitals Bath seen within four hoursOn Thursday, 11th December, shoppers in Midsomer Norton High Street were amazed to see the creature meandering along the River Somer.
Unfortunately, last Tuesday, it was reported that the creature had been found dead in Westfield Terrace, off Wells Road. The creature was discovered by resident, Jody May, who found it lying on her driveway late on Tuesday night.
It is unclear what happened to the otter, or if it is the same one seen earlier in Midsomer Norton.
Otters, their breeding sites and resting places are protected by law. Anyone who captures, kills, disturbs or injures otters can be sent to prison for up to six months and be fined £5,000 for each offence.
