Peasedown St John Primary School began a week of Centenary Celebrations on Monday morning, 24th June. The road through the village was closed for an hour, whilst the school took part in a parade through the decades, dressed in costumes that celebrated the last 100 years. There will be further activities throughout the week, including the cutting of a celebration cake, an exhibition, a performance by Magic Penny Productions on
Wednesday, and a centenary mosaic unveiling and balloon release on Friday. More in next week's Journal.
