September is a busy month for walking, with many different events taking place. Take part where you can, there’s nothing quite like spending time in the countryside!

• Wednesday, 1st September, 6.8 mile circular walk around Lacock. The walk takes you through the village of Lacock across fields and through woodlands in the Avon Valley, joining the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal, also taking in Bowden Park and Bewley Common.

Meeting Point: 8.50 am High Street car park, Paulton, to car share, BS39 7NW.

• Wednesday, 15th September, 7.5 mile circular walk from the centre of Wells towards Biddlecombe Woods, crossing streams and following woodland paths to reach Horringtons, up towards Penn Hill, passing through the hamlets of

Gollege and Walcombe.

• Wednesday, 29th September, 7.5 mile circular walk from Bradford on Avon to Farleigh Hungerford.

Walking along the Kennet & Avon Canal towards Avoncliff, from the aquaduct to the village of Westwood and onto Iford.

Starting Point: 10 am
