The Midsomer Norton Choral Society will sing John Rutter’s Magnificat in St John’s Church on Friday, 31st March at 7.30pm.
John Rutter is known mainly for his Christmas music but he has also written many other works and the choir has enjoyed learning his beautiful and tuneful Magnificat, which is well suited for the period of Lent.
To augment the concert the choir will also sing Songs of the Fleet by Charles Villiers Stanford, another famous composer.
Alan Burgess will accompany the concert on piano and there will be hot cross buns and other warming things to enjoy during the interval.
Tickets may be purchased on the door or from the website www.ticketsource.co.uk/msc
We hope to see you there! Ethne Dando
