Before Christmas, Somervale School art students, led by art teacher, Sacha Guppy, and local artist, Mark Karasick, created images of historical icons of peace and equality, which are now on display in the Black Swan, in Frome.
The work done by Somervale students in this workshop has inspired other schools from around the world to get involved. Somervale School's art teacher, Sacha Guppy, is now in the midst of taking the project to a global level, with schools in Russia, California and Zambia already involved and others around the world joining soon.
Now that the project has become international, Sacha would like more local schools to join in and take part. Details of the project can be found at: artclass roomproject.wordpress.com and information about the exhibition and Black Swan is available on their website, http://www.blackswan.org.uk">www.blackswan.org.uk
