Please do join us for a free soup lunch in aid of Wellow Riding for the Disabled on Sunday, 15th March at Dunkerton Parish Hall, 12.30 p.m.

There will be a voluntary collection box for Wellow RDA. Sophy Bayntun-Coward, who is one of the Trustees, will be there to chat with people about its work. As she explains, volunteers are needed, as well as money.

“Wellow Riding for the Disabled offers disabled children and adults, in and around Bath, the chance to ride and be with horses, as well as fantastic physiotherapy and the chance for the less mobile to move autonomously.

“Riding greatly benefits mental health, providing a chance to learn new skills and to spend time outside with our calm, friendly horses. The whole group is run entirely by volunteers but our overheads are still sizeable. Any support, financial or as a volunteer, will be gratefully received. If you are interested in volunteering, please do get in touch with Anne Allen: 07713 639125.

“This is an opportunity for people in the community to get together, enjoy some food and, if possible, give a little money to a deserving cause. Don’t worry if you don’t have any money (or volunteer time) to spare, come anyway – you will be very welcome!”

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting of Dunkerton and Tunley will take place in the church on Sunday, 22nd March at 10.30 a.m. (after the service at 9.30 a.m.). If you would be interested in serving on the PCC, we’d love to hear from you, please do get in touch with me between now and then.

The next planning meeting, if required, takes place on 19th March at Dunkerton Parish Hall, with the next scheduled full Parish Council meeting to take place at the same venue on 16th April. Charlotte de Grey
