On Saturday, Joyce, the resident Steam Locomotive, hauled a three-coach train, with the 03 diesel bringing up the rear.

Sunday saw Austin 1, the visiting Steam Loco, undertaking the same duties. A small mechanical problem with the 03 diesel was soon addressed without services being disrupted significantly. Visitor Liz Winch and her family and relatives are seen in the photo watching the engineers fix the diesel.

Company Director, Matt Cornborough, was on hand to help with the mechanics. He said: “Our next public running days will be over the Easter weekend, when both steam locos will again be pulling three-coach trains.

“We have also added to our rolling stock, with the arrival of a diesel multiple unit (DMU), which will give added variety to our running days.”
