In continuation from the success of previous years, the Midsomer Norton Sixth Form Student Council is delighted to announce that it will once again be hosting a free Christmas Party for the elderly citizens of our community. This year, the party will be held at Somervale School on Thursday, 5th December, from 2 p.m. until 3.15 p.m.
Last year, guests came from a variety of local residential homes including Church Court, Stanley Court, Beechcroft House, Clutton Way, Bloomfield, Coombe Leigh and Whitehaven. Many guests also came from the community and were delighted by the friendliness of the sixth formers serving refreshments, enjoyed winning some fabulous prizes in the raffle and listening to the younger students from Somervale School singing carols.
This year, the Sixth Form will once again prepare a selection of delicious refreshments, showcase the musical talents of some of the students and host a whole range of other activities. Sixth Form students will be running all the activities dressed up in festive costumes to match the hall decorations.
