The Latte Lounge, part of PEOPLE charity at 84b in Midsomer Norton, officially opened its doors on Monday, 26th September to welcome residents and community groups into the space.
Latte Lounge, a space created for individuals and groups to enjoy reading, relaxing and talking, was made possible through Bath and North East Somerset Social Entrepreneurs Programme, led by the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) in partnership with 3SG. It is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund, which is managed by West of England Combined Authority within the B&NES region.
The programme supports people in B&NES to start and develop businesses that put people and planet first. Jenny Clifford, CEO of PEOPLE said: “Getting a place on this prestigious programme was a wonderful experience and meeting so many like-minded people with great organisations and ideas was very inspiring. Our opening was well attended and everyone was really complimentary about the space.”
Tymon Emery took to Facebook: “A huge thank you to all those who came along to the opening of the Latte Lounge today, it was fantastic seeing you all and thank you for bearing with us.
“We would also like to extend our thanks to our staff and volunteers and all the trades people that have helped us on our journey as without you we probably wouldn’t have made it this far!
“Also a huge special thank you to Karla Neblett for cutting the ribbon at today’s official opening, we really enjoyed meeting you and we hope you will come back to see us again soon!”
The Latte Lounge is open Monday to Saturday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
