SWALLOW, the local charity supporting teenagers and adults with learning disabilities, has been recognised by Parliament as an organisation offering best practice in care and support.
The charity features in a report citing organisations across the country whose quality of service is high, and the report was launched at an event in the House of Commons on Monday. Beverley Craney, SWALLOW Chief Executive, represented SWALLOW, along with SWALLOW member, Zoe Taylor.
Zoe said: “It was a really exciting evening. I enjoyed the House of Commons and I liked listening to the speeches. The music was lovely too. It was a really enjoyable experience.”
SWALLOW is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2018, and there are several events throughout the year to raise money and to celebrate.
